Office of Minority Economic ImpactThe Office of Minority Economic Impact (OMEI) is committed to serving as the primary advocate for minority education institutions and shepherding the Department's support of these institutions by implementing programs to enhance economic and community development capacities among underrepresented populations. The mission of the Department’s Office of Minority Economic Impact is to build effective partnerships between the Department and minority institutions, increase the capabilities of such institutions to compete effectively for grants and contracts, and to increase their participation in Department programs.
