Reports on DOE Funding of Minority Institutions
For HBCUs, HSIs and TCUs
Throughout the fiscal year, OMEI program staff works diligently with Department program offices to track and report funding types and levels to minority serving institutions.
Each year, OMEI prepares annual reports on Department of Energy funding levels for minority institutions, including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic Serving Institutions (HSIs), and Tribal Colleges and Univiersities (TCUs).
These reports are submitted to the Department of Education's White House Initiatives Offices, as stipulated by Presidential Executive Order (E.O.) 13256, “White House Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities”; E.O. 13230, “President’s Advisory Commission on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans”; and E.O. 13270, “Tribal Colleges and Universities.”
